Hair loss is one of the conditions that actually affect just the physical attributes of a person. In spite of this, many people hate to lose their hair, especially at a young age. Many assume that Hair loss occurs at the later age of 40 years and above but there are also cases of Hair loss in young men. Hair loss in young men happens some times, in fact there have been cases of Hair loss in young men at the age of 25 years old and below.

Factors That Contribute To Hair loss In Young Men

Hair loss in young men can be either temporary or permanent. In cases of permanent Hair loss, this may actually be blamed on genes most of the time. There are also other cases of permanent Hair loss in young men which is not to blame on their genetic structure but on outside factors such as stress, traction alopecia, chemical damage and many others. In some cases, the baldness or Hair loss in young men may be permanent if their hair follicles are affected or destroyed. This causes Hair loss in men but it’s only temporarily.

Stress can come in many forms and this is one of the leading causes of Hair loss in young men. It can be in the form of post operative stress where the patient’s body reacts to the operation in such a way that it believes it needs the hair nutrients for something else like recuperation. Cancer treatment methods can also be one of the causes of thinning hair or loss of hair in patches. In most cases, the hair eventually grows back within a year of the cessation of the cancer treatment. Stress at work and in the home can also contribute to depression, which in turn can manifest itself as Hair loss in young men and women.

Traction alopecia is Hair loss due to the constant pressure on the hair strands. Tying the hair or braiding and knotting it tightly can cause this form of Hair loss in young men and any other age. Hair loss in young men can also be caused by alopecia areata. This condition is something that is caused by the immune system attacking cells in the body, including the hair follicles. Depending on the damage done to the hair follicles, some of the hair may grow back while others may not. This condition may recur on any given time if you have it.

These many different causes of Hair loss can affect men in any age bracket. Although, they may be more common to older men, young men may also experience them.
